You are the Star!
The only way to populate an empty server is to be there. If you come, look and see that no one is there, then leave in the hopes that it will fill up later on its own, you live in a fantasy world. People are coming to see you; not the room. You are the star. The room is simply a stage. No matter what position you hold on the Breathless staff, you are primarily an entertainer.

Sitting in an empty room and waiting is not going to always work either. It's a very slow way to get people to come see you. Until your room gets a few people it will appear very low in the IMVU "Chat Rooms" search tab and no one will find it. You must invite.

IMVY and the Internet at large have three major timezones. Those are Asia, Europe and the USA. We need 3 club managers in each of those time zones for three clubs. That's 9 total managers to keep all three clubs open 24/7. Where do club managers come from? They come from our guests that have taken time to know us as friends. Please give them that opportunity by inviting in a very deliberate way

Currently we are good in the USA time zone, we have okay coverage in Eruope. We have almost no users from asia at all. Only a few personal friends of mine that I have met through IMVU. Therefore I am suggesting that we hold parties for those parts of the world where we have the least following. It is up to you my staff to make these parties happen without further proding from me or others.

How to customize parties using
"Invite" & "Find People"

This is one of my favorite things about IMVU. I know -- I know it's perverted. I know. I guess that's why I like it. -PingPanther

You've probably used the search engine by now and maybe even ordered up a cyber sexual "snack" by now. Using that weird engine on IMVU is kinda like a scene out of the movie "Logans Run". Maybe by now you have even customized your searches choosing sex and age and the language that you are seeking.

The truly cool part of the whole thing is you can "shape" your search for almost anything you want.

I'd rather not get too graphic about that. Rather it is just simpler to say that you can order people in IMVU just like you order a pizza and get them delivered a hell of a lot faster than any pizza.

Several times per shift (everytime a club managers room is slow) the club managers will assemble one or two staffers and begin working as a team to populate a room.

Who are we searching for?
To become a 24/7 operation we need to recognize that thare are three basic prime-times or time-zones in the Internet.

  • Asia
  • Europe
  • Americas

    In that order. Who you invite & when is important. Try to be aware of when and where the Internet prime-time time-zones are. >P>
    IMPORTANT: TURN ON THE AP FILTER OPTION IF YOU ARE IN AN AP ROOM

    Prime-time is from 5pm to 1am in any given time-zone. Why is this important? We are strong in the USA time-zone. We are doing okay in europe, however we are very weak during asian prime-time the server dead two or three hours per day.

    If I can effectively notify you that we have a need, maybe we can fill these positions. We are actively seeking help from europe and asia. Target both of those regions even if you have to invite outside of their primetime.

    How to begin...
    Fill a room in 20 minutes

    Everyone on the two or three member team begins searching and inviting. Because we are going to customize this party everyone agrees on a region of the world. The entire team starts of inviting. Buy the end of the session the team will have invite between 60 and 90 people.

    1) Example Search Japan
    2) Invite them by copying and pasting their IMVU user name into the invite button on the main chat window from the webpage.

    After the first few guests arrive the manager will typically begin greeting and engaging the new guests. The manager will be standing at the managers station in the middle of the steps and will then click on each new guest and add them as a buddy. Do this everytime. Don't ask first just do it because they don't have to accept if they don't want you on their list.

    Managers then use their very powerful buddy lists to re-invite the guests again & again saving everyone a hell of a lot of hard work. SAVE THOSE GUESTS AS MANY AS POSSIBLE.

    As the room fills part of the team is still quietly inviting new guests. If a third team member is there they also greet and engage the new guests; inviting as needed.

    In about 20 minutes you will find your room full. The manager takes over as the team members help the guests to engage each other. After a half hour to an hour all of the staffers (other than the manager) have slipped away to do it all over again at another Breathless room that is slow.

    Time now for the manager to make room announcements. Copy and paste them. These will be most important to retaining your members.

ALSO - What are the room rules here, and I really need to know who is on staff... Sorry to hit you all at once.. answer when you can...
