Room Management Guide

Before you arrive
Clear your cache and get ready for fun. Start with a search of all of the Breathless Clubs. Look to see which ones have the least occupants. Open your MSN or Yahoo (or both) and look to see if others staffers are on line. Remember that they are interested in the same thing you are; how to make IMVU fun and profitable. Work together & think outside of the box.

Before you begin, open the room announcements web page from the link on the right hand side of this page. Keep that page handy. Announcements change periodically so watch for updates. Copy and paste announcements to the guests in your room 3 to 5 times an hour. More so when full.

Be sure you are ready to copy and paste things like how to clear their cache, how to use the lift, how to play music and how to find our other clubs.

These tools are built to simplify life at Breathless so use them!

When you arrive
Call the lift to the main club room. When everyone leaves the club the lift will return to a place that is hidden. If you ride on the eagle in BA-R you will see that the lift stores itself way up high and out of sight. Our private rooms are a very important feature. An attraction! Make sure that the lift is highly visible as much as possible.

Begin by checking your IMVU accounts for invitations and messages. These are the first people you should invite to the room. Think this through just a little. Try to invite those that are most likely to help you invite others and keep everyone entertained. Choosing who to invite can greatly reduce your workload.

Assume the two management spots that are on the steps just before you start populating the room. These spots are important. From this location you can see everyone and everyone can see you. Be out there and be noticed. Fill the room from this position and then feel free to mingle with the guest once a solid party has been established.

Call your team together
You do not have a set team. The only people that have set positions are the managers. Everyone else is floating including Ping, so pick from whom ever is available and cross train with them. Although it can be done alone, you should request help from one or two additional staffers or friends as you populate the room. It's fast and it's fun.

I ask that all staffers, (not just managers) please focus on keeping the rooms full for as long as possible until they begin self populating. Don't forget we are in need of users from Asia & Australia.

Invite - Greet - Engage

Clear space for guests & move the team
When a room becomes full, having 9 or 10 users, begin sending staff members one by one another room that may need populating. Eventually reduce the number of staff members in the frist room to one staffer w/music and 9 guests.

If you have stabilized your party by entertaining the guests, and the guests are engaging each other, then move the team on to another Breathless room.

Now that you have a full server your club will appear high in the IMVU "Chat Rooms" tab. Other guests will follow the crowd and begin arriving on their own. Why? Because you are now easy to find. You are at the top of the search engine. That is how your room becomes self sustaining.

After the room is busy
Make announcements three to five times an hour.

Situational Example
When looking in the "Chat Rooms" tab of the 3-D IMVU window you see...

PG/R/X = 10/2/7

Pull all staff out at BA-PG and BA-X leaving one STAFFER IN EACH, send the other staffers to BA-R

Precede and/or follow this with a guest announcement about the existence of the other clubs. Try to spread our guests out among all of the Breathless clubs.
